"Parting is such sweet sorrow" ~Shakespeare
It is Finals week, the last week of the semester, and I have been packing up and preparing to move out in a few days. I've just realized that I won't be back here to Point Loma for a very long time. I guess I have been looking forward to going to Spain for so long that I was only ever excited about it. I still am very excited to be going, but until now I had not thought about how hard it would be to say good-bye.
During this week I have been saying good-bye to a lot of people. Quite a few of my friends are graduating this year, and I have no idea where they will be and what they will be doing when I come back from Spain. I don't know when I will see some of them again. Those who are not graduating will be here when I return in the Fall, but that is still a long time to be away.
These good-byes make everything feel so final, so official. I really don't like saying good-bye. But I hate NOT saying good-bye even more, so here I am bidding my friends farewell as we all frantically study for our final exams and try to get those last papers turned in.
Miss you already, hermosa! You're going to have so much fun! Sacas muchos fotos (por favor!) y comes churros con chocolate todos los dias (me encanta)! Adios!
ReplyDeleteAh, thanks Megan! I can't wait to take tons of "fotos," and I will definitely post as many as possible. :)
